I need some help with a class

I have to make a 1 minute long animatic. I'm going to make one about loneliness. A man walks down a hallway, looking at pictures on the walls. At the end of the hallway is a door that could symbolize a new opportunity or his demise... something like that.

Now, for the pictures... I think I want to show 3 of them. The first one will be a bunch of people laughing at him as he turns to look at the picture. The 2nd one... I don't know. I want it to be dark and scream of loneliness. The last one should have the same effect but these all have to be relatable on a personal level to the viewer. The pictures burn up while he stares at them. It's gonna be an FPS view. Suggestions welcome. Thank you!

from your description, I instantly think of the original wolfenstein 3d where sometimes the pictures would be hidden doors. it could be treasure or it could be an enemy.

Will the subjects in the pictures on the wall be static or will the people in the first picture be animated?

If you want to go with paintings, your description made me think of two: Edvard Munch, "The Scream", and Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks". Both have strong themes of loneliness and isolation that people get pretty quickly. I prefer Nighthawks, just because I love Hopper's work. Good luck, sounds like a cool project!

Somewhat creepy, speaks of isolation, with hints or persecution.

Also speaks of loneliness and isolation from ones peers.
